Birth and Death Certificates for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania from 1907 to the present are maintained by the Division of Vital Records in New Castle, PA.

To obtain a certificate of Birth or Death contact Vital Records at 724.656.3100 or visit the Vital Records website.   

 

If the Birth or Death occurred before 1907, records are at Chester County Archives. Birth and Death Certificates are not available from the Register of Wills/Clerk of Orphans’ Court.
