The Making Poverty History in Chester County, PA Task Force anticipates an ongoing countywide dialogue to emerge subsequent to the public launch of the findings of this report. We look forward to engaging every conceivable stakeholder in a truly collaborative response to the challenges at hand and the will to create and empower the kind of community change that will ensure that everyone is uplifted to a quality of life deserved by all.
While Chester County is perceived both locally and nationally as one of the country's most affluent regions, it is certainly not immune to the debilitating, overwhelming effects of poverty. All the more reason, given its enviable economic stature, that this county must insist that the most vulnerable of its community members be compassionately and effectively supported on their road to self-sufficiency.
