The primary goals of all levels of Valley Creek Crisis Center are to:
{Arrow} De-escalate and stabilize an individual’s or family’s immediate crisis
{Arrow} Provide risk assessments and bio-psychosocial evaluations
{Arrow} Function as a liaison to emergency response personnel (Police & EMS) and mental health facilities/providers.
{Arrow} Support the individual/family/school in developing means of coping with and preventing future crises.
{Arrow} Formulate a follow up plan that includes linkages to community based resources.
{Arrow} Provide brief follow-up and support to individual/family/school following a crisis.
{Arrow} Assist schools and communities in responding to critical incidents.
{Arrow} Provide information and referrals to individuals, families and schools.
{Arrow} Provide consultation services and professional training in crisis intervention to Chester County Mental Health professionals.
{Arrow} Facilitate voluntary or involuntary hospitalization when appropriate or identify alternatives when possible.
Valley Creek’s Consumer-Run Warm Line (1-866-846-2722)
Valley Creek’s Consumer - Run Warm Line is for consumers of mental health services who want to receive peer support and may need information about mental health services. The warm line is offered through a toll-free number and operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and is staffed by paid peer specialists.
The warm line will be open Monday through Friday 2pm-8pm, Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
In early 2009, Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems will also provide Crisis Residential Services at Valley Creek Recovery Center.
