Clifford G. Quigley was born in 1918 in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.

IArmy Logon 1939 Clifford moved to 805 Sherman St. in Johnstown. He married Mardella with whom he had two children.

Clifford obtained employment at Chertok’s Furniture Store 156 E Lincoln Hwy, which is still there today.  They later moved back to Coatesville area, and lived on West Lincoln Highway.

Clifford enlisted in the Army in early 1942, and after training was sent overseas to the European Theater in early 1945.  He rose through the ranks from Private First Class, being promoted to an officer – First Lieutenant.

Lieutenant Clifford G. Quigley was Killed In Action on March 27, 1945 in Germany. He never saw his youngest child.

He was survived by a sister Marian, and brother William, who served in the Navy during the war.
