 Chester County Prescription Discount Card
  {Prescription Drug Discount Card}
 
 
Chester County is pleased to announce the launch of a prescription drug discount card that can be used by Chester County residents to help cope with the high price of prescription drugs. This new program, sponsored by the National Association of Counties (NACo), offers average savings of 22% of the retail price of commonly prescribed drugs. There is no cost to Chester County taxpayers for this program.
 

 What is it?

The NACo drug discount card program helps residents save money on their prescription medications any time their prescriptions are not covered by insurance. The cards are free. The discount card is not insurance. 

 

Can I save money?

Yes! Savings average 22% while some discounts may be more, and some less, depending on the drug and quantity purchased. Cardholders are eligible for higher discounts on a three-month supply of some medications through mail service.Cardholders also can save on pet prescriptions at participating pharmacies.

 

Who is it for?

ALL Chester County residents, regardless of age, income or existing health coverage. The card can be use any time prescriptions are not covered by insurance. Simply request a card, there is no enrollment process.

 

How much

does it cost?

It’s FREE! There is no enrollment cost or membership fee. The cardholder pays the negotiated discount price or the pharmacy's retail price, whichever is lower.

 

Where can I

use it?

More than 59,000 pharmacies nationwide accept the card including over 100 pharmacies in Chester County. 

 

What else can the card do for me?

The program has a safety feature for participating members that alerts pharmacists when one drug may conflict with another medication the cardholder is taking.
