CHES Antenna Boucher Hall, West Chester University

As of August, 2002 Chester County, PA, with the Cooperation of West Chester University, has established the first Cooperative CORS (Continuously Operating Reference Station) in the Middle Atlantic and New England states maintained by a local Government.
Cooperative CORS stations form a national network of high accuracy GPS reference stations in cooperation with the National Geodetic Survey NGS. CORS station, identified as "CHES", will serve as a stable point of reference in the tri-state region of Southeast Pennsylvania, providing vital data for surveying and GIS processing.
The hardware for the CORS consists of a TRIMBLE 5700 PN 40406-31 coupled with an antenna, TRIMBLE ZEPHYR GEODETIC PN 57010-00. The antenna is positioned at rooftop of Boucher Hall, West Chester University. |
