Municipal Elected / Appointed Official Emergency Management Training

Four courses are required by the Federal Government for National Incident Management System (NIMS) compliance.  They are available online from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Emergency Management Institute (EMI) Independent Study Program (ISP) Website http://training.fema.gov/IS/crslist.asp.  These courses are also available in a traditional classroom format from the Chester County Department of Emergency Services, 610-344-5011.

1)  Any one of the ICS - 100 Level Courses:

• Introduction to Incident Command System, I-100 (IS-100)
• Introduction to the Incident Command System for Healthcare/Hospitals (IS-100.HC)
• Introduction to the Incident Command System, I-100 for Law Enforcement (IS-100.LE)
• Introduction to the Incident Command System, I-100 for Public Works Personnel (IS-100.PW)
• Introduction to the Incident Command System, I-100 for Schools (IS-100.SC)

• ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents (IS-200)
• Applying ICS to Healthcare Organizations (IS-200.HC)
