Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

A reminder to all agencies of changes in how the Department of Emergency Services will be handling repair related requests effective 15 July, 2009.  I ask your assistance in relaying this information to all response personnel to ensure a smooth transition.

Here is a brief summarization of the changes being made.

To report system related issues complete the attached document “System Related Issues Reporting Form” and send by e-mail to 911supervisor@chesco.org, fax the document to (610) 344-5055 or report the issue by phone to (610) 344-5100.

To report routine repairs or equipment installs and removals, notify the Department of Emergency Services Technical Division using the attached document “Equipment Repair Reporting Form” and send by e-mail to DesEquipmentRepair@chesco.org, or fax the document to (610) 344-5689.   The 9-1-1 Platoon Leader will no longer handle this process.

To report dead spot related issues notify Assistant Deputy Director Steve Watson using the attached document “ Dead Spot Reporting Form” and send by e-mail to swatson@chesco.org, or fax the document to (610) 344-5050, attention Steve Watson.

All of the attached documents are located on the Chester County Department of Emergency Services website and can be filled out online and e-mailed to the appropriate personnel or printed and faxed.  These forms can be sent to your agency in electronic format upon your request.

Thank you for your continued support of Emergency Services.  If you have questions, please feel free to contact me at your convenience.

Respectfully,

Steve Watson
