Construction Summary

The Honey Brook District Court relocation project is a unique opportunity for The County of Chester and the community it serves. The building is a new construction project on land that the American Legion, a non profit organization, owns and maintains.

This process started a little over five years ago, trying to locate a suitable facility that could meet the growing demand, rising security concerns, based on actual events and occurrences within County District Courts, and the fact that the facility occupied by the County as a District Court has reached a point where it jus= t no longer a healthy, functional building, to mention a few reasons.

With that said, I will highlight s= ome of the features that make this a unique construction project.

80 tons of asphalt, 28 tons of concrete, 688 lbs. of cardboard were recycled, roofing shingles and aluminum siding from the existing buil= ding were also recycled

The facility is already registered for Energy Star Certification through = the Energy Star Portfolio program.
