The Friends of Hibernia County Park meet the 4th Thursday of each month at Hibernia Mansion, 7:30 PM. For more information, please call Hibernia County Park at 610-383-3812.

Hibernia Mansion Candlelight Tours
"Cusp of the Civil War"
December 4 & 5,  6:30 PM - 9:30 PM
December 6,  2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
$5 per person; children under 10 free

Hibernia Mansion features time period rooms decorated by area garden clubs.

Setting the Stage: The 1860 election of Abraham Lincoln has inflamed the southern states. The nation is divided on states’ rights and slavery in the territories. Ironmaster Charles Brookes has fallen ill and is in the process of turning over Hibernia Iron Works to his three sons, one of whom is eager to join the military. Citizens and military personnel have gathered to discuss the situation.

 

 
Hibernia Mansion Tours
Sundays, May 24 - September 6
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM (Tours are 1 hour)
$3 per person; children under 10 free

Trace the mansion’s history from the 1700’s, to one of Chester County’s most successful 19th century iron masters, to the English country house designed by "Colonel" Franklin Swayne at the turn of the 20th century.
