PERMITTING - The number of permits available will be very limited as participants from last year, who displayed desired levels of safety, proficiency and participation, are invited to return as hunters in 2009. Prospective hunters vying for the limited permits must complete and submit an application to the site of their choice (one application per person; applicant may submit to one site only) by 5:00 PM on Monday, August 31. Limited archery hunting permits will be tentatively issued via a lottery drawing, which will take place at each park on Thursday, September 3 at 5:00 PM. Those drawn must complete a shooting proficiency test as detailed in the Rules and Regulations.

In general, archery permits are issued at the rate of two per hunting zone. A junior archery hunter may apply with an adult guardian and be drawn as, and issued, one (1) permit.
