METEOR SHOWERS - NATURE’S OWN FIREWORKS - FULL
Join us for our second annual meteor watch. Meteors are cyclical, predicable events because they are formed from the icy rock debris shed by comets as they pass the sun. The most reliable shower of the year, the Geminids, is characterized by its multi-colored display and frequency. The shower this fall is expected to be very visible, as the moon will be nearing it’s new phase, leaving the sky dark and perfect for viewing. The beauty of observing meteors is that no special equipment is needed other than your eyes and a comfortable spot. So, dress warmly and bring a lawn chair.
