Black Rock Sanctuary Improvement Projects
2009 - 2010
From November 2009 - February 2010, Black Rock Sanctuary will be going through another phase of improvement projects. These projects are designed to enhance your recreational and {education station} educational experiences while visiting the park. Improvements include paving the parking lot and trail, and adding several new interactive interpretive stations.
During the construction period, public access and use of the site will be interrupted. Areas that cannot be accessed, will be posted and fenced off. For much of the construction period, the parking lot and interpretive trail will be closed to public access and use. You will be able to use the upland meadow trail, but may not have on-site parking available.
This temporary closure will lead to long-term site benefits as well as your experience in the Sanctuary. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvienence this may cause.
Questions, comments and concerns shall be directed to
