The National Natural Landmarks Program, administered by the National Park Service, recognizes significant examples of natural history and supports property owners and managers in conservation efforts. There are now 586 listed sites.

The 651 acre park sits atop an out-cropping of serpentine stone greater then one square mile in size – one of the largest serpentine barrens on the East Coast. A popular picnicking park, which offers nine pavilions, as well as informal picnic areas, play lots and rugged trails. Fishing is available in two ponds for bass and pan fish. Nottingham County Park is featured in the Eastern PA Birding & Wildlife Guide. Copies are available by request at park offices.

New playground equipment was installed and opened for Memorial Day weekend 2002. The new play equipment replaces apparatus installed in the late 1980’s. All play structures and equipment meet the national guidelines for safety and performance specifications as established by the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) and the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM), respectively.  All play areas are accessible to those with disabilities per ADA standards.

Pavilion Information
 
Nottingham County Park offers nine (9) pavilions accommodating up to 100 guests. Pavilions are available year-round on a first-come, first serve basis. Reservations are required and accepted up to twelve (12) months in advance. Reservations are valid during daily park hours. Please call the park at 610-932-2589 to schedule.
