The Chester County Department of Aging Services was established in 1971 by the Chester County Commissioners in response to the particular needs of the growing population of older adults in the county. The primary goals of the department are to develop, coordinate and support comprehensive community based services which assist persons age 60 and older to remain independent and self sufficient in the community. The department provides a variety of supportive services either directly by departmental staff or through contracts with private community service providers.
