You Can Help!

Although the Chester County Department of Aging Services is funded by the PA Department of Aging and the County of Chester, contributions of funds or time are still greatly appreciated!

The governmental funding goes toward specific programs and services designed to address the core needs of the seniors in Chester County. However, there are always opportunities to help seniors in new and innovative ways that do not have a dedicated funding stream. For these emerging needs, the agency relies on contributions of time or money.

Monetary contributions help us respond to emergency needs whether fixing a heater, purchasing food or supplies, or providing shelter. They can also be used to establish new programs. Some of our consumers ask for help with minor home repairs, lawn care, light housekeeping and errands. Traditional funding does not support these services.

Volunteers are also an important way to provide services well beyond what funding will support. Services as important as the Apprise Insurance Counseling Program, the Ombudsman Program that advocates for the rights of those receiving long term care, home delivered meals and senior center programs are all supported by volunteers!

If you would like to make a monetary contribution, please make a check payable to the Chester County Department of Aging Services and return it to:

If you would like to volunteer, please contact us at 610-344-5253 or send an email to lmcmillan@chesco.org. We can assist in finding just the right opportunity for you to make a difference in someone's life!
