Options Program

Options Program 
 
The Options program is administered by the Chester County Department of Aging.  The program provides home and community-based services to enable consumers to remain in their home. Services are provided on a sliding fee scale to those who qualify.
 
There are eligibility requirements to participate in the Options program.  Participants must:
  1. Be 60 years of age or older.
  2. Reside in Chester County.  
  3. Verify financial information such as income and assets in order to determine cost sharing.
The services available under the Options program are: care management, personal care services, adult day care, and personal emergency response systems.   
 
In order to participate in the Options program, an individual must first be referred to and assessed by the Department.  After the assessment, a care manager will be assigned to develop a plan of care that meets the needs of the individual.  The Department contracts with care providers to provide the services.
